In just a few months I was enchanted by Texas and was doing my best to become 'Texan', y'all who live here know what I mean. We planned our wedding in two weeks and everything just seemed to fall together, nothing would stand in our way. Our friends Cherry and Matt Curry owned a little hamburger dive in Kingsland by the name of T-Bird's. It had patio walls made of garage doors and a stage, of course. The ceremony was conducted by Cherry, an ordained minister of the Universal Life Church and Matt did the catering, fajitas of course.
We went to Harry's Boots in San Saba for my wedding ensemble. Rings, flowers and Don's jeans from WalMart and Don's lovely shirt from the Thrift Store in Llano. All in all, a frugal and stylish wedding, don't you think?
After the ceremony at noon, Don and our good friends played the afternoon away, we cried and hugged, packed up the music equipment, threw Mom in the car and started our new life together. It's been a wild ride, stay tuned!
