It's been very cold and misting rain for a couple of days, the opposite of Texas weather as we know it. It bothers some people, but I love it. I try to remember days like this in September when it's 106 F. You can't take off any more clothes and it feels like you'll never be cool again.
Bluebonnet seeds germinate in the Fall and grow all winter regardless of the cold. If we get enough rain, about one rainfall a week, in the Spring our world explodes in swathes of blue. Until then, these almost invisible little grey-green plants keep growing and when you notice them, they whisper "Promise".
