I just finished "A Husband By Proxy" by Jack Steele, a romantic, fast-paced early detective novel published in 1909. I was prepared to be underwhelmed but the story is tightly knit and exciting, including a blistering car chase through the streets of New York at an astonishing 42mph! Women and children ran screaming from the scene.
Some serious fun here, People. Starting on Mrs. Dalloway by Virginia Woolf.
