365 Project #101 It's A Poppy!

I went to Grenwelge Park on Thursday when Don and I were in Llano.  He spotted this little flash of color in a ditch and I went down to investigate.  From a distance it looked like a plastic flower someone had stuck in the ground, but no, it was real and came from a little nondescript-looking gray-green plant with pods like poppies.  No way!  Yeah, way.  It's a  Papaver somniferum and here's a listing for it.  Looks like there are some plants around it that are the same thing.  It's down in an inaccessible place where it didn't get mowed short.  What a treasure!
